I'm Kim and buying a pup was not on our radar for 2022 but somehow, after a casual conversation about puppies, we suddenly found ourselves driving two hours to Sydney to meet Adam the Cavoodle breeder we found on Gumtree just a few days earlier. We chose a pup from a handful of photos Adam had texted to us and crossed our fingers we weren’t about to become a puppy scam statistic as we transferred our $500 deposit to a complete stranger. Thankfully the instant we met Adam, all those fears melted away as he was the real deal and he handed over the cutest, most beautiful little ball of fluff we had ever seen.

This blog came about because of my own obsession with Alfie, that was mixed with huge overwhelm as a new puppy parent. I found myself at 2am on night two with no sleep holding a crying puppy who was missing his mum and siblings and I stood there thinking, what have we done?
After connecting with other new puppy parents via Instagram I knew we were not alone in our experiences and while it’s been a roller coaster ride, Alfie has brought such joy and a beautiful energy into our family.
With plans for stories on crate training, our experiences at puppy pre-school, what shampoo to use for your Cavoodle, choosing the perfect name for your new pup and fun projects like sewing your own doggy bandana, Hey Alfie is the perfect place for fellow obsessed pup owners. While a lot of the content will be geared toward the Cavoodle breed, this is a welcoming space for ALL pup owners.
