Trying to find the right breeder when looking for a new pup to join your family can be an overwhelming experience. Avoiding puppy scams, choosing a breeder motivated by the puppy's welfare, and finding a healthy pup can be tricky.

Fortunately, we had a really positive experience when we bought Alfie from a breeder in Mudgee, NSW earlier this year. You can read more about that experience here. However, recently we also had a very negative experience with another breeder when we decided to find a little puppy friend for Alfie.

And in our very first podcast, I talk with my very first podcast guest, my husband Ken about the good, the bad, and the ugly of choosing a breeder.

We chat about our experiences with two different breeders and Ken shares his insight into the main things to consider when choosing not only a breeder but also a puppy to join the family.
